Deisha Oliver-Millar, Founder/CEO

Deisha has a lot of history in the Atlanta arts scene in theater, music and gallery worlds. An Atlanta native, she moved back from the midwest and began working with Whole World Theatre as a microphone runner turned lighting director and box office manager from 1997-2001. With lighting design (from 1997-present) she worked on the road with numerous bands as well as lit many a corporate theater gig and presently works lighting magic for Blast off Burlesque. From 2003-2006, Oliver-Millar was the founder and artistic director of Twinhead Theatre, where she directed shows and even acted in a few. She has also played cello for numerous bands including Osaka, Envie, American Dream, Tiger!Tiger! as well as put cello tracks down for Ultra Babyfat, Villain Family, The Selmanaires, Ruby Velle and the Soulphonics, and Shathouse Rats. She was also on the board of directors for Eyedrum from 2007-2010. On top of all of those many things, she has been acting since she was four, she geeks out with graphic design, typography and food, and she is a mother of two amazing children.

Deisha had been marketing, promoting, designing graphics, planning events for arts groups and small businesses for years before the realization hit that perhaps she needed to create a company based around just that. Thus the birth of Bang! in February 2008.

With a strong commitment to the artist and business communities,  Deisha has a drive to open dialogues about the creativity of marketing and promotions, regardless of industry. As much as humanly possible and through Bang! , she strives to give back to her community(ies) through partnering with various arts groups, pro bono consultations and graphic design projects.

Beyond being charming, sweet and just darn personable, Deisha is a well-organized, detail-oriented, and consummate dedicated professional in a business where professionalism is usually nil. She is tenacious in her approach and every event we’ve worked together was meticulously executed; even dealing with 14 different bands or 56 artists. That is a true talent. On top of all this, she can also make a cello sing and howl.

Hiring BANG! was the wisest decision we’ve made as a band so far. They did the promotion for our CD release party here in Savannah. We got featured in the Connect Savannah as well as the Savannah Morning News. Our release party was a wild success resulting in encores and rock star like treatment from the 100 or so friends and fans that made it out. We now have a solid press kit and an eager home town fan base, in addition to our album, to take into the future. We owe a lot to Bang! Arts and are so thankful we know them.
