THE GOAT FARM ARTS CENTER PRESENTS
THE BLACK LIPS featuring THE KING KHAN & BBQ SHOW
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Monday August 11, 2014 - Atlanta, GA -
The Goat Farm Arts Center, OK Productions and Tight Bros is proud to present home-grown rock and roll outfit The Black Lips and cult figures The King Khan & BBQ Show. These titans of garage rock will perform songs from their newer albums, classics from slightly older albums, and perhaps even songs you have not heard of from albums that do not exist on this version of Earth.
The Black Lips are touring North America to support their new, critically acclaimed album “Underneath the Rainbow”, and have [through inscrutable, possibly mystical methods rumored to be part of the Kukamonga Death Cult] convinced The King Khan & BBQ Show to join them in creating an evening of nose-breaking rock and roll at the Goat Farm.
Curtis Harding will open.

ABOUT THE BLACK LIPS
The Black Lips bring their energetic stage show to The Goat Farm’s Goodson Yard, and while The Black Lips cannot be held to specific claims as to what antics may ensue, previous engagements have featured remote controlled car racing, the excreting of various fluids, animals, and pyrotechnics, so audiences should come prepared to shake booty and possibly become part of and party to some of the finest locally sourced spectacle accompanying some of the finest funk-rock garage-tempered grooves to ever spawn from the crevices of a 24 hour diner.
ABOUT THE KING KHAN & BBQ SHOW
King Khan [Known alias: Blacksnake] and BBQ [Known alias: Mark Sultan] have been innovating in the field of angry gospel punk rock and reverberated doo-wop for over 20 years, first playing together in punk rock outfit “The Spaceshits”, which incited such vigorous responses from fans that they were functionally banned from playing in Montreal. We expect the evening’s entertainment to amuse, amaze, and possibly permanently disfigure the aesthetics of any who dare to attend.
